I sold my first piece of art...

Well I have sold my first painting, and I feel pretty damn good about it! It was a painting I did for a contest and wasn't even in the contest (even though I did recieve an email stating I was accepted).

I submitted it on here and didn't even get any views - I don't think - so I scarpped it heh.

i am a huge reggie fan
but i have a question, was it hard to sell it?? i can never seem to part with my artwork, it like killing a piece of me because i feel that every piece is a learning experience. man, thats so exciting though, congrats!!!

It was kind of hard. It made me wonder what will happen to the painting, and I joked with my fiancee it'll be in a garage sell in 5 years or so. But I needed the money and you just have to part with it if you want it to be more then a hobby.

I wasn't very close to it though, like I am with some. Some paintings I become attached to.

I mean I like my idea, but I wish I would have executed it better on canvas.
